To ensure free and uninterrupted travel for EVs along its route to the incident location, traffic signal controllers deploy preemption strategies, benefiting those EVs.
The IEVP( Intelligent Emergency vehicle Preemption system) is an application server where it does tasks such as finding the intersections along the route, the stage and finding the approximate time the EV reaches the intersection by taking the traffic into consideration. When implemented it will be having improved response time and less crash rate. This proposed model is different from the present EVP due to less component and lower cost compared to other EVP systems.
